Alongside the Civil Administration's actions to preserve heritage sites, worrying reports are emerging regarding damage to archaeological sites in Judea and Samaria.

According to a report on the Kol HaHadashot channel on 🆃🅴legram🔴, the "Regavim" movement is demanding immediate intervention to stop what has been defined as "agricultural encroachment and illegal construction" at the "Khirbet Farasin" archaeological site in the northern Samaria region. The site, which contains remains from the Second Temple period, is, according to the report, sustaining intentional damage from development work using heavy machinery. Head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, warned that "an open history book of the Jewish people is being erased here" and called on the authorities to act immediately.

On the other hand, Ariel Kahana reports that the Civil Administration has begun a process to expropriate approximately 320 dunams in the area of the historic 'Herodion' site, with the goal of expanding conservation and research activities. The move demonstrates the official commitment to preserving heritage assets in the area, including the fortified palace and the burial place of King Herod.

While Kahana's report focuses on the establishment's actions for historical preservation, the report from "Kol HaHadashot" reflects a critical stance regarding law enforcement on the ground, highlighting the damage caused to sites that do not receive similar official protection.
