Dramatic changes in tax policy on overseas shopping

Starting today, there is a significant change in the tax policy on personal orders from abroad. According to Israel News | Uncensored and War Room 🎗️, the Knesset has approved the cancellation of the VAT exemption on orders up to $130. The Tax Authority clarified that packages arriving in Israel starting this morning will be charged in accordance with the new policy.

The channel Deal of the Day 🛒, which focuses on consumerism and shopping updates, specifies that in effect, the exemption ceiling is returning to $75. The meaning for the Israeli consumer is that "every order from abroad (including Amazon) that costs over $75 will be charged 17% VAT in addition to the final price," as reported in Deal of the Day.

Sharp criticism of the law enforcement system

On the political front, Knesset Member Moshe Saada leveled harsh accusations at the law enforcement system during the Israel Bar Association conference.
