[78950] Huge deals in the Turkish defense industry: Aselsan signs contracts worth $845 million
Huge momentum in Turkey's defense industry
The Turkish defense industry is experiencing days of significant growth with a series of huge deals. According to reports from the ASELSAN channel and Sanayi Savunma Türkiye, the giant company Aselsan has signed contracts with the Presidency of Defense Industries of Turkey (SSB) for a total sum of $845 million. The agreements focus on "public security communication systems" and the "supply of satellite and space systems."
The reports, which were also published on the Haber Gündem channel and Türk Savunma Sanayi Haberleri, state that the execution of the contracts and deliveries are expected to begin as early as 2026. This is a significant layer in upgrading Turkey's security and technological infrastructure, with an emphasis on independence in the fields of communications and satellites.
In parallel with domestic activity, the TÜRK SAVUNMA SANAYİ channel, which is identified with promoting the interests of the Turkish defense industry, reports momentum in the international export market as well. According to the channel, Gulf countries are expected to purchase Turkish defense products worth billions of dollars in response to "increasing missile and UAV threats," which testifies to the growing demand for Turkish technology in the region.
