The IDF takes control of the Beaufort fortress

During significant operational activity in southern Lebanon, IDF forces reached the historic Beaufort fortress and raised the Israeli and Golani flags over it. Amit Segal officially confirmed the arrival of the forces at the point, and reported that "Israeli and Golani flags were raised over Beaufort" in an additional report.

Amir Tsarfati, known for his supportive stance on the IDF and the Israeli right, defined the event as a "huge defeat for Hezbollah." Tsarfati revealed that according to reports on Shiite Telegram channels in Lebanon, Hezbollah operatives called to booby-trap the ancient fortress so that it would collapse on IDF soldiers, and noted that "their respect for antiquities is like their respect for the sovereignty of their own government" according to his words.

On the other side, the Abu Ali Express in English channel – which sometimes presents critical analyses and a perspective that combines an in-depth look at the Arab arena – emphasized the psychological impact of the documentation in Lebanon. The channel noted that "how nice it is to see the media in Lebanon publishing pictures of the Israeli flag and the Golani flag over Beaufort." The channel specifically emphasized the heroism of the fighters: "Well done to the mighty and fearless fighters of the Golani reconnaissance unit, who conquered the mountain" as written in the report.
