Extensive wave of strikes in southern Lebanon

Throughout the day (May 31, 2026), an extensive wave of IDF strikes was reported in various locations in southern Lebanon. Al Jazeera, known for its critical stance toward Israel, reported that IDF forces carried out explosions of houses in the town of Deir Mimas in the Marjeyoun district, alongside repeated waves of airstrikes in the same area.

At the same time, the Quds News Network and Al Jazeera reported on extensive airstrikes and heavy artillery shelling that hit the towns of Arnoun and Kfar Tebnit. In addition, Sputnik Arabic reported, citing Lebanese sources, on three separate airstrikes carried out in the town of Deir ez-Zahrani.

Additional locations under fire include the Nabatieh area, where artillery shelling was reported, targeting the village of Roumine and the Kfar Joz area. Al-Quds Channel, which is close to the resistance circle, noted that artillery shelling was also directed at the town of Aishiya in the Jezzine district.

Al Araby TV reported, citing Lebanon's National News Agency, that artillery fire was directed toward workers in the outskirts of the town of Burj el-Shemali, with no casualties reported. The events are accompanied by reports of additional pinpoint strikes, as noted by the Beirut Time website regarding an attack in the town of Deir Qanoun En Nahr.
