[76253] Escalation on the Northern Border: IDF Deepens Maneuver in Lebanon Under Extensive Missile Attacks
IDF forces continue significant ground advancement in southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah launches barrages of rockets and explosive drones toward northern communities and IDF outposts.
IDF Advancement in Southern Lebanon
According to reports from the Abu Ali Express channel (which takes a distinctly pro-Israel stance), IDF forces are making significant progress within Lebanese territory beyond the Litani River. The channel notes that IDF forces are working to secure a foothold in several strategic points, including the Beaufort area, Yohmor al-Shaqif, Deir Siryan, and the Ali al-Taher ridge overlooking Nabatieh. Lebanese media outlets and Hezbollah sources confirm that the IDF has seized new territory in the last 24 hours, including in the area of the village of Ghandourieh.
Heavy Fire Toward the North
Parallel to the ground activity, the northern border is experiencing a day of security escalation. The Israel News Without Censorship channel reports heavy rocket barrages toward Nahariya, Safed, and confrontation-line communities, with approximately 40 munitions launched from Lebanese territory throughout the day. The channel reports on explosive drone impacts in open areas near Shlomi, as well as damage caused in an open area near Kfar Giladi as a result of the launches.
Complex Fighting in Southern Lebanon
Beyond the launches toward the Israeli home front, Hezbollah continues to apply pressure on IDF forces operating within Lebanese territory using explosive drones. According to the channel's reports, at least five explosive drones have been launched at the forces since the morning hours. Simultaneously, the GLOBAL ANALYST 🕎 عالمي channel notes that Hezbollah is launching dozens of UAVs and explosive drones at the fighters in the field, with the aim of disrupting the ground maneuver.
IDF Response
Despite the reports of a series of launches and enemy activity, IDF sources cited in Israel News Without Censorship clarified that "at this stage, there is no change in the strike policy" and that no decision has yet been made regarding a significant change in the scope of the IDF response to the heavy fire.
