[76270] A wave of sales advertisements and pricing changes for VPN services in the Iranian market
The VPN market in Iran responds to network instability
Amid reports of ongoing volatility in access to the international internet in Iran, there was significant activity today by VPN service providers advertising promotions and pricing updates for users. 'هات نیوز | فوری 🔴' channel reported a price reduction to 20,000 Tomans per gigabyte, claiming that "the technical team managed to optimize costs" despite the unstable situation. At the same time, another service called BadBan_VPN is offering discounts for first-time purchases and bonuses for referring new users, while stating that the service "bypasses the national internet."
Other companies in the market are offering various packages in differing volumes. 'شاهان vpn' channel offers packages ranging from 10 to 100 gigabytes at prices between 350 and 2,400 currency units, while 'ZR vpn' channel takes a different approach, clarifying in its message that "the service will only work when the international internet is active," and emphasizing that no guarantee will be provided in the event of a total disconnection from the global network.
The reports reflect growing competition among dozens of providers using popular Telegram channels – including general news, sports, and current affairs channels such as کانال هواداران استقلال and کانال هواداران پرسپولیس ایران – to reach users looking for censorship-bypassing solutions. Some of the advertisements present promises of "15 dedicated servers" or "high speed," while attempting to leverage the security and technological situation reported in local news channels for aggressive sales promotion.
