Fuel and supply crisis in Crimea and southern Ukraine

Against the backdrop of the start of the tourist season, numerous channels report a severe shortage of gasoline in the Crimean Peninsula. The peninsula's administration announced restrictions effective May 30, according to which one may refuel up to 20 liters of AI-95 fuel only per vehicle per day. According to the Telegram channel Politika Strany, which is identified with a critical stance toward the Russian government, the situation worsened after the Ukrainian army began attacking supply routes in the "land corridor" leading to Crimea.

At the same time, the Telegram channel Operation Z: Voenkory Russkoy Vesny - which is identified with pro-Russian and systemic positions - reported a warning from international organizations (IMF, WTO) regarding a global fuel crisis due to the war in the Middle East, while emphasizing the logistical difficulties in the region. Conversely, the UNIAN channel, which presents a pro-Ukrainian stance, reports mockingly on a "fuel collapse" in Crimea, claiming that drivers are standing in long lines and risking being left without fuel for the remainder of their journey.

Disruptions in transport routes

The Russian authorities in the Zaporizhzhia region, as published in Politika Strany, called on drivers to avoid traveling on the "Novorossiya" road due to remote "mining" carried out by Ukrainian forces using drones. The ZERGULIO channel, which expresses positions supporting the Kremlin, confirms that strikes on civilian vehicles were recorded and that a truck driver was killed as a result of mines dropped from the air.

• The Dushnaya Obshchina channel, identified with parties critical of the way the war is being managed in Russia, calls to expand offensive activity against bridges and railways in Ukraine as a countermeasure.


• The Politico channel, quoted by local channels in Crimea, notes that the extensive use of Ukrainian attack drones has succeeded in "paralyzing the supply routes" of the Russian army in the south.
