According to ynet, the incident in the Galilee Panhandle resulted from "intercepting a target in southern Lebanon." At the same time, the Ongoing Security channel reported on security preparations in the area in response to the events.

Simultaneously, multiple alerts were recorded regarding "fear of drone infiltration in the Western Galilee," which led to the activation of additional sirens in the area. According to ynet, residents of the area were required to act according to the Home Front Command guidelines. Later in the day, ynet news announced that "the incident in the Western Galilee has concluded."

At the end of the day, the IDF Spokesperson updated that the last sirens in the Western Galilee were "due to a false identification."
