Tension in the Gulf: Iran tightens control over the Strait of Hormuz
Over the past 24 hours, media outlets affiliated with the Axis of Resistance have reported lively activity in the Strait of Hormuz under the close supervision of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy. According to reports by Al Jazeera and Shehab Agency | Urgent, 24 ships and oil tankers crossed the straits in full coordination with Iranian authorities.
In an official statement published by the Revolutionary Guard Navy, it was clarified that the organization exercises "precise control" over the straits with "determination and authority," and warned that "any aggression will be met with decisive blows."
Official sources in Iran emphasized that the passage is carried out according to pre-determined routes. As reported by the Quds News Network, the number of ships authorized to pass may be higher, but the navy limits their daily number to prevent maritime traffic disruptions and to ensure the security of navigation in accordance with the route set by Tehran, as also noted in the report by the 'Rased Al-Adu' channel.
The reports highlight Tehran's narrative as the sole entity responsible for security in the area of the straits. The involved media outlets, known for an editorial line supporting Iran and regional militia organizations, presented the event as a display of power in front of the international community, while conveying a message of full Iranian sovereignty over the strategic shipping lanes.
