IDF and Shin Bet eliminate Hamas Gaza Brigade Deputy Commander
In a joint operation by the IDF and the Israel Security Agency, the deputy commander of the Hamas terrorist organization's Gaza Brigade was eliminated. According to Amir Tsarfati, who is identified with distinct pro-Israeli security positions, the information was officially confirmed by the security forces.
In a more detailed report by Amit Segal, it was noted that the eliminated terrorist is Imad Hassan Hussein Asalim, who also served as the commander of the Zeitoun Battalion. According to Segal, Asalim "was involved in directing raids by the battalion's terrorists into Israeli territory during the massacre on October 7."
It further emerges from the report that the terrorist posed an "immediate threat" due to the advancement of dozens of terrorist acts against IDF forces operating in the Gaza Strip in recent years and in the recent period in particular. The strike was carried out two days ago.
In addition, Amit Segal reports that another commander of the Hamas terrorist organization was present at the site of the strike, and that "the results of the strike are being examined."
