Military units on the Ukrainian front are turning to the public with urgent requests for financial assistance to purchase off-road vehicles after losing previous vehicles in combat.
Urgent calls for military assistance among frontline units
During May 29, 2026, two urgent appeals were published by Ukrainian Telegram channels raising funds for the purchase of vehicles for troops fighting on the front. These are civil-military initiatives aimed at replacing equipment that was lost or destroyed during operational activities.
According to the channel Левый Берег Киев, which is identified with supporting the Ukrainian war effort, the soldiers of the 108th Brigade need a vehicle urgently to enable mobility in an area where "every minute can become the last." The channel emphasizes that this is an existential need for the sake of the soldiers' return to their homes.
At the same time, the channel Київ Головне, which also reports on events from the capital region and the front, published a similar appeal for the 153rd Brigade. According to the channel, the brigade lost its last vehicle in a bombing, and without it, the soldiers become "easy targets for enemy drones." The channel calls on its followers to donate even minimal amounts to save lives.
Both channels operate transparent campaigns that include bank account numbers and promise to publish financial reports on the use of donations. Both appeals reflect the ongoing dependence of field units on equipment donated by the civilian public to complete urgent logistical shortages on the battlefield.
