The Telegram channel Київ ІНФО | Новини Україна 🇺🇦, known for its ongoing reporting of local events in the capital, described the situation as a "zator norah" (literally: "terrible congestion") and pointed to a combination of a road accident along with maintenance work being carried out on the bridge as the primary reasons for the delays.
Simultaneously, the channel Труха⚡️Київ, which focuses on real-time reports from the field, noted that "traffic has been paralyzed since the early morning hours". According to the channel, beyond the aging infrastructure, a "relatively minor" accident that occurred just before the bridge over the Desna River caused a chain of delays throughout the entire area.
As of 09:10, the Kyiv Police confirmed that traffic toward Stepan Bandera Avenue is indeed disrupted due to the events. Local sources emphasize that the public has been forced to deal with a "dead traffic jam," a term used by Труха⚡️Київ to illustrate the severity of the situation for commuters stuck on their way to work.
