The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (GUR) announced today, May 29, 2026, that the organization's drone warfare units are operating systematically to disrupt and close the "land corridor" connecting the occupied Crimean Peninsula to the Donetsk region. According to intelligence reports, key road sections between the cities of Berdiansk, Melitopol, and Dzhankoy are now under the "fire control" of Ukrainian drone operators.

In videos published by Military Intelligence and TSN channel, explosions and fires of Russian trucks, fuel tankers, and logistics vehicles can be seen. Intelligence noted that some of the equipment, including 'Shark-M' drones, was provided as part of a donation project by the Serhiy Prytula Foundation. Additional military sources, including the 'Operativnyi ZSU' channel, added that the strikes are focused on strategic points such as Sokolyhirne and Yakymivka.

Media outlets identified with pro-Ukrainian positions, such as Censor.NET and Focus, emphasized that this is a critical disruption of the Russian supply chain in the south, as this is the main transport artery for transferring ammunition, fuel, and reinforcements between Crimea and the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions. UA Stream channel even noted that Russian military blogs have begun to admit that the logistics situation on this route is becoming "critical."

The operations are carried out by the Intelligence Special Operations Department, using RAM 2X and 'Bulava' loitering munitions. The reports are united around the narrative that there is "no safe place" for Russian forces in the occupied territories, as the goal is to incapacitate the Russian army's logistics infrastructure deep behind the front lines.
