[72575] Crowdfunding campaign for Bezalel Zini: 'False accusation and political persecution'
Bezalel Zini's family and right-wing activists have launched a campaign to raise 2.5 million NIS to fund his legal defense, claiming it is a case of political persecution against right-wing figures.
Campaign to raise 2.5 million NIS for the defense of Bezalel Zini
Over the past day, a crowdfunding campaign has gone online for Bezalel Zini, against the backdrop of legal proceedings against him. Doron, Zini's brother-in-law, posted a statement on his behalf on Abu Ali Express and Carmel News, in which he claimed that Zini is a "true righteous man" and that all accusations against him are a "complete false accusation." According to him, the family is required to raise a sum of over 2.5 million NIS to hire a first-class legal team to face the State Attorney's Office.
As part of the campaign, it was noted that Zini has been under house arrest for several months, a fact that prevents him from being able to support his family. The family emphasizes that the struggle is necessary to "debunk the plot" and prevent damage to Zini and the public in Israel according to Abu Ali Express.
At the same time, political activist Ayelet Lash has joined in to help the struggle and published a call to the public to donate. Lash, who is identified with clear right-wing positions, claims that this is an attempt by the legal system ("the junta," as she calls it) to "frame" right-wing figures who reach influential positions. According to her, the purpose of the accusations against Zini is to "take down any faithful right-wing person" and pressure senior security officials as she wrote on Telegram.
The call for donations, which is defined by Zini's supporters as a struggle for the "character of the state," emphasizes the urgent need for funding a legal defense against the state's resources. As of now, the struggle is focused on crowdfunding as the only solution for Zini to stand against the claims of the State Attorney's Office.
