UAV attack on oil infrastructure in Russia

During the night of May 23, 2026, the port of Novorossiysk in southern Russia was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles, leading to the outbreak of massive fires at strategic oil facilities. According to a report on the UA Stream channel, the attack was directed at the Sheskharis oil terminal, considered one of the largest in Russia.

The ЦАПЛІЄНКО_UKRAINE FIGHTS channel confirmed the attack on the port and the fuel base, highlighting the damage caused to Russian infrastructure. At the same time, the ⚔️БРАТЧУК channel, which is associated with pro-Ukrainian positions, stated that according to OSINT experts, it is highly probable that the fire broke out at the Sheskharis terminal, which is used for the export of oil and its products.

In addition to this terminal, ⚔️БРАТЧУК noted that NASA's satellite systems (NASA FIRMS) detected a fire also at the Grushevaya terminal, which is defined as the largest oil reservoir in the Caucasus region. Similar reports also appeared on the UKRAINIAN MILITANT channel, which reported a direct hit on the oil terminal in Novorossiysk.

As of this hour, Russian officials have acknowledged the existence of a fire at the port, according to Bratchuk's report. This is one of the most important economic hubs for southern Russia, and the damage to it could constitute a significant blow to the country's energy export apparatus.
