Technology Update: Firefox 151 browser launched with new features
Firefox 151 Browser Update: News for VPN and privacy users
Mozilla has released version 151 of the Firefox browser today, bringing with it a series of significant updates for both desktop and mobile users.
According to the Technology - The Leaker channel, the main improvement in the new version concerns the built-in and free VPN service in the browser. From now on, users will be able to perform "VPN server location selection" manually, which provides greater flexibility for those looking to bypass geo-blocking or improve browsing security.
Additionally, Technology Updates detail that the new version includes the following improvements:
- Artificial Intelligence on mobile: AI features are coming to the mobile versions of the browser, while providing "expanded control over their activation" to the user.
- Privacy management: Addition of a "Clear Private Session" button that allows for the quick deletion of private browsing data with one click.
The update is available for download right now, and is part of Mozilla's ongoing efforts to strengthen the browser's position in the market against Chrome-based competitors.
