[68015] Financial Telegram channels publish dubious promises of quick stock market profits
Warning against financial scams on social networks
In recent days, an increase in activity has been identified in Telegram channels promoting investment offers of a suspicious nature. The channel Borsa Hisse Haber publishes aggressive promises to users with an initial capital of 150 to 500 thousand Turkish liras, claiming that they can reach "3 million TL" within "just 3 months" according to a Borsa Hisse Haber post. This is a promise of an extraordinary return that is inconsistent with standard investment channels in the capital market.
At the same time, the channels Borsa Haber 🔔 and Borsa Haber Hisse🥇 are distributing similar messages that use salary comparisons between traditional professions and tempting stock market profits. According to the Borsa Haber 🔔 report, investors can earn a "minimum of 200,000 TL per month" through an initial investment of only 50,000 liras.
Characteristics of the published content
- Exploitation of wage gaps: The ads use salary data of police officers, lawyers, and mechanics to create a manipulative comparison to alleged trading profits.
- Artificial urgency: All the channels state that joining is "free and limited" and direct users to external Telegram groups, a common tactic in "phishing" or stock manipulation scams.
- Nature of the sources: These channels operate under the titles of economic news sites, but their content is marked as #Reklam (advertisement), which raises concerns that this is a marketing scheme aimed at attracting unskilled investors to high-risk or unregulated trading platforms.
