In the last 24 hours, a number of urgent alerts have been published regarding the dangers of financial fraud targeting users of digital banking systems.

Security alert from 'Ata Tohumu' organization

The Ata Tohumu ve Sağlıklı Tarım Farkındalık ve Bilinçlendirme channel, which focuses on promoting healthy agriculture, has published a severe warning to its subscribers against individuals impersonating representatives of the channel. According to the announcement, scammers contact users via private messages and request bank transfers to unofficial bank accounts (IBAN). The organization emphasized: "We, including the managers, will not write to you in private messages to ask for money," and clarified that any payment for seeds or seedlings must be made exclusively to an account in the name of 'Fatih Çolak', as published on the official channel.

General warnings regarding bank transfers

In parallel, the Haber Gündem news channel published broader alerts for the general public. According to one report, there is a significant danger to anyone holding a bank balance, even of just one Lira. The channel emphasized that even transfers of small amounts pose a risk, and called on the public to exercise extreme caution regarding the sharing of IBAN details or making transfers to unidentified parties.

It is clear that this issue is at the top of the priority list for information and news bodies in the region, with the main emphasis being on verifying bank account details before making any financial transfer, in order to avoid falling victim to online fraud.
