According to the IRNA news agency, which is affiliated with the official establishment in Iran, the sentence was carried out after all legal procedures were exhausted and approved by the Supreme Court, at the request of the victim's family members.

The SNN news agency, which is linked to conservative student circles, provided details on the circumstances of the shocking case. According to the report, the late woman got into Farzaneh's vehicle on her way home. The driver murdered her and dumped her body in the desert area outside Tehran. Following his confession to the act, the defendant was convicted in the Criminal Court of Tehran Province and was sentenced to death (Qisas).

The reports come in parallel with social criticism regarding the length of the proceedings. The Telegram channel "Ye Danesh-Amoz" (Student), which sometimes expresses the views of young people involved in social discourse, noted that 11 months had passed since the suspect's arrest until the execution, and argued that a delay in carrying out the sentence "gives audacity for committing similar crimes."
