Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived for an official visit to Beijing, where he was received in a grand ceremony at the 'Great Hall of the People' by Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to Akharin Khabar reports, Putin opened the meeting with a Chinese proverb and noted that although a day had passed since they last met, "it feels like three autumns have gone by." This visit marks 25 years since the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between the countries, which was originally signed in 2001.

During the talks, Sputnik Afghanistan agency reported that Putin officially invited Xi Jinping for a reciprocal visit to Russia next year. The main focus of the discussion included strengthening economic ties, with Putin noting that the trade volume between the countries has jumped 30-fold over the last quarter-century and surpassed the $200 billion mark, as published by SNN.ir.

On the political level, according to Fars International Agency, which is identified with official Iranian political positions, President Xi emphasized the need for an immediate halt to the war in the Middle East, defining the situation as critical and claiming that continued hostilities must be prevented to ensure the stability of global trade. The parties presented a united front against what they defined as "unilateralism" in the world, and called for the creation of a "more just and democratic" global management system.

According to an analysis by the South China Morning Post, the strength of diplomatic ties between Moscow and Beijing overshadows China's communication with Washington, as these meetings often end with comprehensive joint statements that testify to deep strategic coordination, unlike meetings with the West. Putin also confirmed his planned participation in the APEC summit to be held in the city of Shenzhen later this year, as reported by Sputnik Afghanistan agency.
