[62766] Hezbollah reports escalation in southern Lebanon and attacks the conduct of the central government
In parallel to the military activity, Hezbollah published a sharp political statement on the 43rd anniversary of the "Agreement of Shame" (the May 17, 1983 agreement). In the statement published via channels affiliated with the organization, including Al-Mayadeen channel, the organization called on the Lebanese government to cease the "path of free concessions" and refrain from attempts to reach peace agreements with Israel.
Hezbollah accused the authorities in Lebanon of conduct contrary to the constitution and of harming national sovereignty. According to the organization, as reported on Al Jazeera network, the negotiations held since November 2024 have achieved nothing but "increased aggression and destruction."
Conversely, media outlets such as Al-Quds Network highlighted the organization's demand for "resistance until victory" and its refusal to accept external dictates from the U.S. or other parties. The organization stated that "the Zionist occupation will not stabilize on our land as long as the heroic resistance exists," and emphasized that full liberation of the territory remains the supreme goal.
