Ukraine's air defense forces report an extensive UAV attack in several regions simultaneously with missile launches toward the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Extensive UAV and missile attack over Ukraine
Over the past 24 hours, the Повітряні Сили ЗС України / Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported extensive hostile aerial activity across Ukraine. Military officials emphasized that an attack had begun, which included missile launches (KAB) toward the Dnipropetrovsk region, alongside waves of attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that penetrated the airspace.
According to reports from 🔊⚠️єРадар | Повітряна тривога | Ракетна небезпека, monitoring entities associated with the operational information stream of Ukrainian authorities, UAVs were identified on complex flight paths over the Chernihiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, and Kyiv regions. According to the єРадар channel, some of the vehicles flew at a high altitude of over 9 km, which indicates maneuvering attempts by the attacking forces.
In the Kyiv sector, the Київський купол channel updated on a UAV that entered the Vyshhorod area, with an initial report of a "minus" (shootdown). At the same time, air defense forces tracked groups of UAVs moving from the northern and eastern regions toward the southwest of the country.
Official sources of the Ukrainian Air Force continued to provide updates throughout the morning hours regarding suspicious movements in the Sumy, Donetsk, and Chernobyl regions. The campaign is characterized by the use of a large number of small aircraft attempting to exhaust the regional air defense systems deployed throughout the country.
