Reports of discrepancies in Iraqi Ministry of Education exams

On May 16, 2026, claims were raised by the Telegram channels السادس الابتدائي and نيمار ابن الانبار || iraqedu regarding inaccuracies or controversial questions in the Iraqi Ministry of Education exams for 6th grade. The reports focus on changes between the official exam wording and the practice materials provided to students.

According to السادس الابتدائي, a difference was noted in section B of the third question: while the expression "slice onions" appeared in the national exam, the expression "slice tomatoes" appeared in the preparation and practice exams.

In another report published by السادس الابتدائي and نيمار ابن الانبار || iraqedu, another gap was noted in the fifth section of the same question: in the official exam it was written "peel orange", while the term "peel onions" appeared in the practice materials.

The channels, which serve as a central source of information for students and parents on national exam issues in Iraq, did not elaborate beyond presenting the textual differences, but brought the subject to public discussion among the learning community ahead of the completion of the exams.
