Turkish President summarizes his visit to the Organization of Turkic States summit
Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, concluded a three-day visit to Kazakhstan, where he participated in the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) held in the city of Turkistan. According to the report on TRT Haber, Erdogan emphasized the importance of solidarity between the countries in light of regional and global crises, and called for the promotion of joint transport infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on logistics corridors.
As part of his vision for the future, Erdogan declared that a "Turkic world developing through digitalization" approach must be adopted. The President emphasized the need for advanced technological cooperation, including the development of artificial intelligence-based models that will support the common Turkic language. During the summit, Erdogan met with the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties.
Another central issue raised in the President's remarks was the status of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). According to Haber Gündem reports, Erdogan emphasized that the presence of Northern Cyprus representatives at the summit is of great significance, and called for the deepening of political, economic, and cultural relations with the entity, which he termed an "inseparable part of the Turkic world."
At the same time, it was reported in TurkishNews that in an article he published in the journal Kazinform, the President also addressed the international situation, and harshly criticized Israel, claiming that it is "trampling on the common values of humanity."
Finally, regarding domestic affairs, A Haber noted that President Erdogan congratulated the athletes of Turkey's national team, who won 22 medals at the European Taekwondo and Para-Taekwondo Championships and achieved the title of European champions for the third time in a row.
