Extensive wave of Hezbollah attacks against IDF forces in Southern Lebanon
Over the past day, media channels affiliated with Hezbollah, led by Al Jazeera and Quds News Network, reported on a long series of military operations carried out by the organization against IDF forces in Southern Lebanon. The reports describe "intense battles" and widespread use of suicide drones (referred to as "Inqadiya squads" in the source language), anti-tank missiles, and artillery.
According to Al Mayadeen, the organization attacked an armored personnel carrier in the Khallet al-Rajeh area of Deir Seryan in a "targeted operation" using a suicide drone, reporting a "confirmed hit." Concurrently, Shehab Agency reported intensive use of artillery fire and anti-tank missiles against D9 bulldozers and IDF engineering vehicles in the al-Khiam and Rashaf areas, which sources claim were engaged in "excavation operations."
Sources affiliated with the organization, including Nabatieh Hadirat Jabal Amel, published official statements on behalf of the "Islamic Resistance" defining the actions as a response to "the Israeli enemy's violations of the ceasefire agreement." One statement noted that Hezbollah forces attacked a Merkava tank that was attempting to rescue an IDF force that had been attacked earlier.
Additionally, clashes were reported in the air over the al-Bayada area. According to Sputnik Arabic, the organization claims it "confronted IDF helicopters" using surface-to-air missiles, which forced the helicopters to withdraw from the area. Other channels such as Gaza News Now│Warlife reported on concentrated attacks by drone swarms against IDF force concentrations in the Birket al-Marj area in the town of Houla, in retaliation for previous airstrikes.
These reports emphasize the narrative of a "battle of endurance" (Ma'rakat al-Asf al-Ma'kul) and note that the actions are aimed at defending Lebanon and the residents of the villages in the south of the country, using language that highlights the success of the attacks against IDF armored vehicles.
