China Rejects U.S. Claims Regarding Influence Over Iran
Diplomatic sources cited by Al-Mayadeen Channel claim that the recent wave of American statements regarding Washington's success in "persuading China to influence Iran" is baseless. According to the sources, these are false reports disseminated by the U.S. administration. According to Al-Mayadeen Channel, China's position toward Iran remains "clear, stable, and unchanged."
The Al-Mayadeen network, known for its editorial line supporting the 'Axis of Resistance', reports that Beijing even issued an official statement through the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to "clarify the whole truth." The sources emphasize that China is not seeking alternatives to Iranian oil, as energy imports through the Strait of Hormuz account for "45% of their energy needs."
Regarding nuclear and regional security disputes, Al-Mayadeen Channel notes that while China opposes the proliferation of nuclear weapons, it consistently supports the "civilian-peaceful use of uranium" by Tehran. Furthermore, according to the report, China advocates for keeping the Strait of Hormuz open without militarization, while respecting "Iran's rights as a country located on the shores of the strait."
