According to a report by the Bloomberg news agency, the United Arab Emirates worked to establish a regional military coalition that would respond jointly to attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to the report, President Mohamed bin Zayed held a series of personal conversations with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other Gulf leaders, in an attempt to convince them to join a coordinated military response. At the same time, Fars News – a news agency close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps – reported, relying on the "Wall Street Journal," that shortly after the ceasefire announcement between the US and Iran, United Arab Emirates fighter jets carried out an attack against oil facilities on the Iranian island of Lavan. It should be noted that while general news channels such as Khabar Fouri focused on the diplomatic-security failure of the UAE, official Iranian channels emphasized the narrative of the UAE's political isolation in the face of other Gulf states.
