The famous Iranian director Asghar Farhadi is at the center of attention this year at the Cannes Film Festival, with the presentation of his new film, "Parallel Stories," as part of the official competition. As reported by Iran International, the official premiere of the film is scheduled for Friday, with the festival placing a special emphasis this year on themes of migration, exile, and independent cinema.

In an interview with RFI فارسی, Farhadi explained that although the film is in French and features prominent actors such as Isabelle Huppert and Vincent Cassel, in his opinion, "the film is fundamentally of Iranian lineage." Farhadi noted that he worked on the project through a long and complex process, drawing inspiration from the late Polish creator Krzysztof Kieślowski.
