At the end of the second semi-final of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest held in Vienna, Ukraine's representative, the singer LELÉKA, qualified for the final stage. According to the report by Радіо Свобода (which adopts a clearly pro-Ukraine stance), Ukraine is one of 10 countries that passed the qualifying stage out of 15 that competed last night.
Alongside Ukraine, the following countries qualified for the final: Bulgaria, Norway, Australia, Romania, Malta, Cyprus, Albania, Denmark, and the Czech Republic, as reported by Україна Сьогодні | Новини and DW Україна (which are characterized by positive coverage of Ukraine).
In the final of the contest to be held on May 16, LELÉKA, who performs together with bandurist Yaroslav Jus, is expected to perform the song "Ridnym". As noted in Євробачення Україна, the Ukrainian representative was drawn "number 7" in the performance order of the grand final evening.
