Security escalation on the Lebanon border: Wide wave of strikes

During the last day, a significant escalation has been reported on the northern border. According to 301 News Arab World, which sometimes reports from a critical perspective regarding government policy, the IDF launched a wide wave of strikes in southern Lebanon. The strikes focused on the towns of Harouf, Farun, and Toul, alongside extensive artillery fire carried out toward villages near the Israeli border.

Simultaneously, the Abu Ali Express channel - identified with firm security positions against terrorist elements in the region - reported that Israeli artillery batteries stationed inside Lebanese territory fired phosphorus shells toward the villages of Yohmor al-Shaqif and Ali al-Taher in Nabatieh.

The Northern Command stated that at this stage there are no special instructions for the civilian population, and that the strikes do not affect the civilian space inside Israel. However, 301 News Arab World noted that the response from the Lebanese side was not long in coming, as "Red Alert" sirens were activated in the north of the country and rocket interceptions were identified.

The situation on the ground remains tense, with various sources reporting ongoing exchanges of fire. As of now, the security establishment remains on high alert and continues to carry out its operations within the Lebanese space.
