The Iraqi Parliament approved the appointment of Ali al-Zaydi as Prime Minister today and voted in favor of the government platform and the ministers in his new government, who have finished taking the oath of office.

Political drama in Baghdad came to an end today, as the Iraqi Parliament officially voted for the appointment of Ali al-Zaydi as Prime Minister. The event, which was widely reported by the واحد العراق channel, began with al-Zaydi's arrival at the Parliament building to present the government platform to the members of the House and the Speaker of Parliament, al-Halbousi.
Following reports by واحد العراق, the elected Prime Minister Ali Falah al-Zaydi and the ministers who won the confidence of Parliament have already taken the constitutional oath. The process included separate votes on a series of key positions in the new government:
- Fuad Hussein was approved as Foreign Minister by an absolute majority.
- Falah al-Sari was appointed Minister of Finance after a unanimous vote.
- Khaled Shawani received the confidence of Parliament for the position of Minister of Justice by an absolute majority.
Additional reports from local media outlets, including وكالة الأنباء العراقية (واع), جريدة الصباح العراقية, وكالة بغداد اليوم الاخبارية, and الميادين عراق, confirmed that Parliament granted its confidence to the government program (the government platform) presented by al-Zaydi. Al-Fallujah Channel also reported that the approval was granted by a majority of votes, which paves the way for the new government to begin its work.
