Following reports by واحد العراق, the elected Prime Minister Ali Falah al-Zaydi and the ministers who won the confidence of Parliament have already taken the constitutional oath. The process included separate votes on a series of key positions in the new government:

• Fuad Hussein was approved as Foreign Minister by an absolute majority.


• Falah al-Sari was appointed Minister of Finance after a unanimous vote.


• Khaled Shawani received the confidence of Parliament for the position of Minister of Justice by an absolute majority.
