Exposure of the modest lifestyle of those close to the leadership in Iran
In reports published on May 14, 2026, media channels identified with the regime in Iran revealed images from the home of Baser Bahramnezhad, who served as a bodyguard for the late leader. The house, located in a poor area of Tehran, is described as modest and very small.
Saberin News channel, a channel known for its distinct pro-regime stance and ideological support for the leadership, claims that the exposure of the modest lifestyle of those close to the leader serves as "testimony to the righteousness and integrity of the path of the truth front," and constitutes a refutation of claims against the regime spread by its enemies.
The Akharin Twiit channel, which often shares content praising regime figures and promotes patriotic narratives, also emphasized the same point. According to the channel, the fact that a confidant of the leader lives in modest conditions proves the "heartbeats of the people" which are influenced by the sacrifice of the heroes of the revolution.
Both channels agree on the narrative that the blood of the "martyrs" and the personal example of those close to the leadership are the engine that unites the Iranian public, and they seek to use the image of economic modesty to strengthen the legitimacy of government institutions among the general public.
