Tension in the Strait of Hormuz: South Korea points at Iran
According to reports by Al Jazeera, Al-Ghad News, and Beirut Time News of Lebanon and the World, an official South Korean source stated that Seoul "rules out the possibility that any party other than Iran is behind the attack" on the cargo ship near the Strait of Hormuz according to an Al Jazeera report.
In the same context, Yonhap News Agency noted that the South Korean government intends to "take diplomatic measures immediately upon identifying the party that attacked the cargo ship" according to Al Jazeera sources.
As of now, the reports focus on the South Korean position only, without an official response from Tehran. The Al Jazeera network, often associated with a critical line toward Western policy and the influence of its allies in the region, presents the events as a significant security incident in the strategic maritime area.
