Large-scale missile attack in Ukraine: dozens of missiles on their way to the capital
This morning, May 14, 2026, security officials in Ukraine reported a large-scale air attack. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, missiles were detected in the north of the Chernihiv region moving in a direct path toward the Kyiv region. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration confirmed the report and urged residents to enter shelters urgently.
Reports from the field indicate complex movement of Russian ordnance. The Україна Сьогодні channel reported about 20 cruise missiles passing over the Pyriatyn area toward the Kyiv region. At the same time, Повітряна Тривога 🚀 Карта Київська warned that "missiles are encircling Kyiv" and called on the public to exercise maximum vigilance due to 15 missiles that passed from the Cherkasy region toward the Kyiv region.
In central Ukraine, equally intense activity was recorded. ОПЕРАТИВНИЙ ІНФОРМ reported on "three groups of missiles" making their way toward the city of Cherkasy, while additional local reporting channels noted that about 10 missiles were specifically aimed at the targets of Smila, Chornobai, and Cherkasy.
As of this hour, ZN.UA, a channel known for its pro-Ukrainian stance and critical view of Russian actions, continues to update on ongoing missile movement. While the Ukrainian Air Force is engaged in "repeated air reconnaissance" to check for the presence of additional missiles in the airspace, the Ukrainian public is requested to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command until the event concludes.
