[59085] A widespread wave of drone and cruise missile attacks across Ukraine

A massive aerial attack on the Kyiv region and additional areas

During the night of May 14, 2026, Ukraine experienced a widespread wave of aerial attacks. Reports indicate a combination of 'Shahed' drones and cruise missiles launched toward strategic targets. The Реальний Київ | Украина channel reported on dozens of drones moving in varying trajectories toward Brovary, Boryspil, Vasylkiv, and Obukhiv, while the Київ Головне channel noted in one of its updates that at least 35 drones were identified in the region's airspace alone.

In addition to the drone activity, active cruise missile movement was reported. Труха⚡️Київ updated on "6 groups of cruise missiles" making their way toward Bila Tserkva, while the monitor channel, known for technical military monitoring, detailed flight paths that passed near Boryspil and Pereiaslav with the intent of striking hubs in Obukhiv and Trypillia.

Hostile aerial activity was also recorded outside the Kyiv region. The Новости Одесса | Одеса channel reported on drones penetrating from the Black Sea toward Chornomorsk, Ovidiopol, and Vylkove. Simultaneously, channels in the Dnipro area, including Реальный Днепр ⚡️Кривой Рог | Дніпро Світло, reported targeted strikes toward Kryvyi Rih and Zelenodolsk.

Local sources, which demonstrate a distinct pro-Ukrainian stance and support the war effort (including links for fundraising for the Armed Forces of Ukraine), emphasize the heavy strain on air defense systems due to the large number of simultaneous attack points. No official details on damages or casualties resulting from the attack have been released thus far.
