Today, May 13, 2026, a Russian attack using "Shahed" drones was reported against the city of Uzhhorod in western Ukraine. According to parallel reports from Ukrainian media outlets, this is the first time since the outbreak of the full-scale war that the city has been under direct attack.

According to journalist Vitaly Glagola, cited by the Telegram channel Lachen writes, the attack focused on the "city's industrial area, warehouses, and critical infrastructure facilities." Glagola, whose reports serve as the primary source for the event, noted that this is a significant change in Russia's attack map.

The news was confirmed by additional Ukrainian channels, including Times of Ukraine, Ukraine NOW, and All-Seeing EYE, all of which emphasize the fact that this is the first attack of its kind on the city since February 2022. The channels, which are consistently identified with support for the Ukrainian war effort, highlighted the severity of the damage to civilian infrastructure.
