Widespread wave of drone attacks across Russia and the Crimean Peninsula

Over the past 24 hours, a widespread wave of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks has been reported in numerous locations across Russia and the Crimean Peninsula. According to the Telegram channel Анатолий Шарий (which adopts a critical stance toward the Russian government), a central target of the attack was the Taman port in the Krasnodar region, in addition to reports of explosions and "falling drone debris" at an industrial site in Yaroslavl according to the report.

The Telegram channel Lpr 1, which specializes in ongoing military coverage, published dozens of alerts regarding the danger of air attacks in wide areas. The alerts included Sevastopol, Kacha, the Kaluga region, Smolensk, Kursk, Belgorod, and other areas on the Crimean Peninsula. In certain districts, such as Belgorod and Rostov, it was subsequently reported that some of the alerts were lifted, although a high state of alert was maintained.

At the same time, the channel Украина.ру (associated with a distinctly pro-Russian stance) reported the declaration of the "end of the drone danger" in the Krasnodar region by local emergency services (RSChS), following reports of damage to port infrastructure in the area.

The attack was characterized by a broad geographical spread, with various sources highlighting the use of different types of drones, including jet drones that passed through the Bryansk regions toward the Kaluga and Smolensk regions. Local security authorities managed a series of alerts and cancellations throughout the day following the identification of threats in the air.
