A comprehensive investigation by CNN, echoed by numerous Ukrainian media outlets, reveals new details regarding the mysterious sinking of the Russian cargo ship 'Ursa Major' in December 2024 off the coast of Spain. According to reports, the ship was carrying components for two nuclear reactors intended for nuclear-powered submarines, likely on their way to North Korea as part of close military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.

According to Times of Ukraine and Реальна Війна, there is a high probability that NATO countries carried out a first-of-its-kind naval attack using torpedoes to prevent the sensitive cargo from reaching its destination. The channel Всевидящее ОКО notes that the ship sank at an unusual speed, and that a hole was discovered in its lower section whose characteristics are similar to those of an impact from a 'Barracuda' type torpedo – a weapon found only in the possession of the U.S. and a number of NATO member states.

STERNENKO highlights the fact that American aircraft equipped with sensors to detect radioactive materials circled the scene of the sinking twice in the last year. Conversely, Russia was quick to define the incident as a "terrorist attack." The channel SPRAVDI adds that after the sinking, the Russian intelligence ship 'Yantar' arrived in the area and conducted a series of underwater explosions, likely to cover tracks or destroy evidence of the secret cargo's contents.

Reports from LIGA.net and Європа тут indicate that the ship's captain admitted during his interrogation that the cargo did indeed include nuclear reactor components, contrary to Moscow's official statements regarding the transport of cranes and spare parts for icebreakers. The incident occurred against the backdrop of the dispatch of North Korean military forces to assist Russia in the war in Ukraine, which raises the suspicion that this was a technological-nuclear "payment" from Putin to Kim Jong Un.

The event, which remained shrouded in fog for a long period, is now marked by many media organizations, including Україна Online and Батальйон «Монако», as a "bold operation" by the West to thwart global nuclear proliferation, placing the NATO alliance in a situation of direct and covert confrontation with Russia's nuclear interests.
