As part of increased medical preparedness, health authorities in Iran have announced the implementation of preventive measures and strict border surveillance in Khuzestan province due to concerns regarding the infiltration of the 'Hanta' virus. The deputy head of the health department at the Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences in Ahvaz stated that according to کانال هواداران استقلال, "مراقبت مرزی «هانتا ویروس» در خوزستان در حال انجام است" (border surveillance for the Hanta virus is being carried out in Khuzestan).

Official provincial sources emphasized that there is "آمادگی کامل و جامع" (full and comprehensive preparedness) to handle any scenario, adding that as of now, "نگرانی در این زمینه نداریم" (we have no concerns regarding this matter).
