According to a report by the Wall Street Journal cited by Kan Al Jazeera, there are "large gaps" between the US and Iran regarding the type of restrictions Tehran will agree to impose on its nuclear program. The report, which was also published in Beirut Time, emphasizes that the lack of agreement is hindering the progress of diplomatic contacts.

At the same time, an Iranian official quoted by Saraya Al-Quds - Descendants of Al-Bahaa revealed details about the American proposal. According to this source, Washington demanded to receive the uranium enriched to 60% and transfer it to a third country, a demand that was rejected by Tehran. Iran announced that it refuses to remove the uranium from its territory, but expressed willingness to "dilute the enriched uranium to the 3.7% and 20% levels under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency." The source also noted that Iran rejected the American demand to stop enrichment for 20 years, and that Washington refused to discuss financial compensation for "war damages."

On the enforcement front, Shehab Agency, which is identified with positions critical of American policy, reported that the US State Department announced a "reward of 15 million dollars for information that will lead to the disruption of the financial mechanisms of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards."
