The Iraqi Ministry of Education announced the completion of all technical and logistical preparations for the start of the 6th-grade primary school final exams across the country this coming Tuesday.
Peak readiness for 6th-grade exams in Iraq
The Iraqi Ministry of Education announced today, May 11, 2026, that it is at "جاهزيتها الكاملת" (full readiness) for the start of the national 6th-grade primary exams for the 2025–2026 school year. According to reports from the Iraqi Ministry of Education, the exams are scheduled to begin on the morning of Tuesday, May 12.
According to information published in the Iraqi News Agency (INA) and Naimar Ibn Al-Anbar, the ministry has completed the "technical and administrative preparations" which include the preparation of examination centers, the assignment of proctors, and the arrangement of students according to geographical distribution. The ministry emphasized that examination cards have already been distributed to participants.
In a report by the Iraqi Al-Sabah newspaper, it was noted that the entire system is prepared to conduct the exams without glitches. Al-Mayadeen Network Iraq, known for its alignment with the Resistance Axis and the current administration in Baghdad, emphasized that "coordination with security and service agencies" has been completed to ensure the success of the plan and to provide a "stable and safe examination environment" in all Iraqi provinces, including Baghdad.
The ministry clarified in its summary, as reported by the Official Iraqi Students Channel, that the exam questions will be based "on the prescribed curriculum only," while taking into account the study material that was removed in advance, with the aim of ensuring high flow and a comfortable atmosphere for all students.
