At the same time, in the southern Tehran area, officials including Akharin Khabar and Breaking Incidents ⚠️ updated that on Wednesday, May 23, controlled explosions will be carried out in the Kahrizak and Baqershahr areas. The Governor of Rey, Bijan Soleyman-Pour, confirmed in a conversation with the Mehr Agency that the activity is "part of a completely controlled technical operation."

In another sector, Akharin Khabar Khuzestan reported similar activity in the cities of Dezful and Andimeshk. According to the announcement by the local governorates, the explosions heard between 10:00 and 12:00 on May 11, resulted from "the destruction of unexploded ordnance left behind by the enemy."
