The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a series of sharp statements today in response to the position of US President Donald Trump, who described the Iranian response conveyed through Pakistani intermediaries as "completely unacceptable." According to a report by Sputnik Arabic, Tehran claims that its proposals to Washington are "generous and responsible," and that they are intended to ensure Iran's right to "end the war."

In reports carried by Al Jazeera and other networks, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized that the demands raised by Tehran are "reasonable and logical" and take into account the "interests of the entire region" and not just Iran's own needs. At the same time, an official, Esmail Baghaei, declared that American policy, which continues to adhere to "unilateral and rigid" positions, is the cause of instability in the region.
