Russian drone attacks hit rescue workers and civilians in Ukraine
Throughout May 10, a series of attacks by the Russian military was reported in various regions of Ukraine, in violation of the local ceasefire. According to ТСН новини, Russian forces attacked the Mykolaiv region with a drone, where a 19-year-old man was injured and damage was caused to private homes.
The main focus of events was in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where reports from СУСПІЛЬНЕ НОВИНИ and Дніпро Оперативний indicate that Russian forces carried out a "targeted" attack against an emergency services (DSNS) rescue vehicle in the Myrivska community. As a result of the attack, the driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old emergency worker, was injured and evacuated to a hospital.
In addition, ДніпроОДА reported the injury of a 3-year-old toddler in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in the Synelnykove area, following drone attacks on regional infrastructure. The regional administration noted that the child was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.
In the Kherson region, the situation is no less complex: according to Суспільне Херсон, 21 different settlements were attacked within 24 hours. The regional prosecutor's office reported that as of 17:30, at least four wounded were known as a result of these attacks, including three men and a woman. Новини Еспресо.TV added that the attacks in these areas also targeted critical and social infrastructure.
Most Ukrainian media channels covering the events, including hromadske and 24 Канал, are characterized by a position that firmly condemns Russian aggression and emphasizes the deliberate targeting of humanitarian aid personnel, which they define as a blatant violation of international law.
