According to monitor, areas near the front lines were attacked overnight, with a drone striking a residential building in Kharkiv, injuring three people, including an 8-year-old child. At the same time, STERNENKO reported similar attacks in Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson, where civilians were hit, including a 3-year-old toddler.
In terms of official data, Повітряні Сили ЗС України announced that all 27 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya drones launched from Russia toward Ukraine were intercepted or neutralized overnight. However, local authorities reported damages and casualties in other areas. In a report by ЦАПЛІЄНКО_UKRAINE FIGHTS, it was noted that in the Zaporizhzhia region, there were 780 Russian attacks over 24 hours across 33 different settlements, leading to the death of one person and the injury of three others.
In parallel with the military activity, a serious incident was reported in Dnipropetrovsk where a fire engine was attacked by a Russian drone while the crew was on its way to assist civilians, according to DW Україна. Additionally, Українська правда updated that the death toll from the airstrike carried out on May 4th on the city of Marfa has risen to 9, after another wounded individual passed away in the hospital.
On the broader military front, PEKHNO🇺🇦 estimated Russia's losses in the last day at 840 soldiers, noting that there were 147 combat engagements at the front. Sources identified with the Ukrainian government position, such as Реальна Війна, emphasize that President Zelensky stated Ukraine would respond in a "mirror-like manner" if Russia returns to full-scale attacks, which indicates a deep erosion of the fragile agreements for a temporary lull.
