Military tensions between Iran and the U.S. have persisted for many months, exacting a heavy human and economic toll. According to a report by Iran International, over 800 ships have been trapped in the Strait of Hormuz, turning the region into a "floating prison" for about 20,000 sailors suffering from a severe shortage of food, water, and medicine. The organization notes that at least 10 sailors have been killed during recent exchanges of fire.

On the military front, the narratives are contradictory. On one hand, Vatan-e Emrooz newspaper, affiliated with the Iranian regime, reports extensively on precision strikes on 18 American bases across seven countries, citing CSIS data on damages worth one billion dollars. On the other hand, prominent American figures, including Senators Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego, harshly criticize the Trump administration, warning that the war is exacting a daily cost of 2 billion dollars and depleting the U.S.'s strategic ammunition stockpiles.

The consequences of the war extend beyond the immediate sphere of combat. DW Persian reports that while the Iranian economy is suffering from a severe electricity crisis, the Saudi oil company "Aramco" has recorded a 25% increase in its profits due to a spike in oil prices. At the same time, official Iranian media outlets like IRNA emphasize that the war has destroyed the development and growth plans of the Gulf states, while the U.S. faces growing internal criticism over the cost of living and fuel prices.

At the Iranian command levels, they continue to maintain a militant line. The Deputy Commander of the Iranian Army stated in the IRNA News Agency that Iran possesses additional "surprising options" in the event the conflict intensifies, and that it will continue to impose restrictions on the passage of ships supporting sanctions against it.
