Protest in front of the State Attorney's Office: The Zelka family demands justice

This past weekend, a demonstration took place in front of the Central District Attorney's Office on Shaul HaMelech Street in Tel Aviv, against the backdrop of the anger of the Zelka family members regarding the manner in which the legal proceedings are being handled in the murder case of their loved one, the late Yamano Zelka. The protesters called on law enforcement authorities not to file lenient indictments against those involved in the murder.

On the Daniel Amram Uncensored channel (which takes a critical line toward government institutions and the State Attorney's Office), it was reported that the deceased's sister called on the public to join the protest and stated: "We will not allow the State Attorney's Office to file a lenient indictment for the murderers who killed my little brother". According to the family, as also published in Israel Hayom (which usually takes a line expressing support for state institutions but covers the protest as a current event), the State Attorney's Office "does not see the reality that the entire nation of Israel saw," and therefore they demand severe punishment only.

Dozens of participants arrived at the protest site in Tel Aviv with the goal of exerting public pressure on the State Attorney's Office. As of the time of reporting, the event is defined as part of the family's ongoing struggle to ensure that justice is served to those responsible for Zelka's death.
