The past weekend recorded a series of violent incidents across Ukraine, ranging from planned assassination attempts to criminal shooting events. At the center of the reports is the arrest of a suspect in Odesa, who allegedly planned an assassination of a senior officer in the Ukrainian Navy. According to Новини.LIVE, the suspect, a recidivist from the Donetsk region, operated under the guidance of Russian intelligence services with the goal of creating a "propaganda effect" ahead of May 9th. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) thwarted the plan after the suspect was caught with an AK-74 assault rifle and equipment intended for the assassination.

At the same time, a tragic incident occurred in the Obolon district of Kyiv. ProKyiv reports that a 22-year-old Russian citizen is suspected of stabbing a local young man in an apartment, leading the victim to attempt an escape through a window and fall to his death. The suspect, who has a criminal record, was arrested by the authorities.

In another scene in the capital, in the Podil district, a mass shooting incident was reported that caused great panic. According to Труха⚡️Україна, a man under the influence of alcohol opened fire with a traumatic pistol at another person following a brawl that developed between them. Kyiv police, as noted in Оперативний ЗСУ, confirmed the suspect's arrest and reported that the victim's condition is defined as satisfactory. Київ Оперативний noted that the incident left at least two wounded at the scene.

In addition, another shooting occurred in Odesa near a pizzeria on Seredniofontanska Street. As reported in Суспільне Одеса, the police arrested a 42-year-old man who opened fire, an event defined as hooliganism. No casualties were reported in this incident. In Kharkiv, as reported by KharkivOne, a 22-year-old was shot while hanging out with his friends; the police have opened an investigation for suspected hooliganism.
