[53982] Widespread wave of strikes in southern Lebanon: reports of fatalities and escalation in exchange of fire

Over the past day, the Al-Mayadeen network reported on a widespread wave of airstrikes and artillery attacks by the IDF (referred to by them as "the occupation") across southern Lebanon. According to reports from the channel, which is affiliated with the Axis of Resistance, many sites were attacked, including the towns of Mifdoun, Houch, Burj Rahal, Safad El Battikh, Arnoun, Zrarieh, Mansouri, Ain Baal, Haddatha, Arzay, Jebshit, Barish, Yater, Chehabieh, Nabatieh el-Fawqa, Abbasiyeh, Majdal Selm, Saksakiyeh, Qilya, Zoutar el-Gharbiyeh, and Maroubin and Jannata.

In a report attributed to Al-Mayadeen channel, it was stated that "a girl died of her wounds" after being attacked along with her father in the morning in an attack in Nabatieh. In addition, the source reported on "3 martyrs" (3 shahids) in a separate attack on the town of Burj Rahal. In the Mount Lebanon area, the channel reported on an attack in the "Multaqa al-Nahrain" area that led to 3 injuries.

At the same time, Al-Mayadeen Iraq reported on exchanges of fire, as "the resistance" (Hezbollah) attacked a Merkava tank in Bayada according to the report. Furthermore, it was noted on the channel that a "rocket barrage" (rashqat saroukhiya) was launched towards "the occupied Palestinian territories" from southern Lebanon.

Additionally, it was reported that the "occupation army" carried out controlled explosions in the border area of the towns of Meiss el-Jabal and Aitaroun according to an Al-Mayadeen report. Other media outlets such as Palestine Breaking News 24 and Nabatieh, the Heart of Jabal Amel confirmed the continuation of the widespread strikes in various areas of southern Lebanon, using terms emphasizing Israeli "aggression" (udwan).
